Joseph Palhofski, 74, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Bethlehem Manor, surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Patsy (Cope) Palhofski, with whom he shared 53 years of loving marriage. Born on May 24, 1943 in Hazleton, PA, he was the son of the late Stanley and Helen (Zavada) Palhofski. Joe worked for the Bethlehem Area School District as a data processing supervisor for 30 years until retiring in 2006. He served on the board of the Bethlehem Teachers Credit Union. Joe prepared income taxes for seniors for A.A.R.P. for many years. He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, where he served as an usher for many years, as well as the MORA Club, the L.H.S. Grenadier Band and Orchestra Parents Club where he assisted with the Alumni Band and The Keystone's Polka Band in Hazleton.
Survivors: he will be lovingly remembered by his wife Patsy, son Stanley J. Palhofski and April; sister, Lorraine Yuvista and her husband David; son-in-law Scott James, 4 grandchildren; 2 great-granddaughters, 1 great-grandson and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving daughter Dawn James.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, December 11, 2017 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 450 E. Washington Ave, Bethlehem, PA 18017 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 A.M. until time of the service in the church. Joseph's arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem. Burial will take place at Bethlehem Memorial Park Cemetery.
