John Shegina Obituary
John Peter Shegina, 65, of Bethlehem, entered eternal rest on Thursday June 7, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Beverly J. (Repsher) Shegina. Born in Allentown, he was the son of Dorothy I. (Bruch) Shegina and the late Peter J. Shegina. John was a graduate of Freedom High School. He went on to further his education at Lehigh University, where he earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees. John was an accountant for over 40 years for the Bethlehem Steel and Aesculap Inc. John was an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed all sports. He was a member of Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, Catasauqua. John was devoted to his loving family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Beverly; son Brian Shegina and his wife Megan of Breinigsville; daughter Jennifer Merkler and her husband Michael of Ledgewood, NJ; mother Dorothy Shegina of Bethlehem; sisters, Sharon Buck and her husband Kenneth of New York, Cheryl Shegina of Bethlehem and Diane Searock and her husband Stephen of Bath; and his loving grandchildren Evan Shegina, Grant Shegina and Emma Merkler.
Services: A Funeral Service will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday June 13, 2018 at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 A.M. until time of service. Burial will take place at Bethlehem Memorial Park Cemetery. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com
