Jean R. (Kohl) Benner, 76, a resident of Cedarbook Fountain Hill and formerly of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully, on Sunday December 24, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital in Fountain Hill. She was the wife of the late Thomas Benner, Sr., who passed away on March 23, 2011. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late George and Erma (Lasko) Kohl. Jean was a member or Christ U.C.C. in Bethlehem. She worked for the Muriel Dress Company in Bethlehem for over 20 years, until retiring. She was a member of the I.L.G.W.U. and was also an Avon representative for over 25 years. She loved shopping and was a die hard Philadelphia Eagles fan. Jean was a hard worker who taught her work ethic to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, who she loved and adored.
Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her son Thomas F. Benner, Jr. of Bethlehem Twp.; daughters Tammy A. Benner and her companion William Schaffer, Jr. of Bethlehem, and Monica J. Solosky and her husband Scott of Bethlehem Twp; sister Jane Lechman of Bethlehem; grandchildren Jimmy Benner, Joshua Benner, and Kaitlyn Solosky; great grandsons Mason and Dean Benner.
Services: A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street Bethlehem, PA 18018, where relatives and friends may call from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service.
