James R. Lenhart, 88, formerly of South Plainfield and Holland Township, NJ, passed away peacefully in his home in Center Valley on Friday, September 14, 2018, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the husband of the late Rose (Mortimer) Lenhart, who passed in 2015.
Born in Norristown, James was the son of the late Joseph and Rose Marie (Pelligrim) Lenhart. He served his country in the US Army, both at the end of WWII and during the Korean War. He worked hard, and built and ran his own plumbing and heating business for over 40 years, Lenhart and Mortimer Plumbing and Heating, in South Plainfield, NJ. He was always more concerned about others rather than himself, and was a great provider for his family.
Survivors: sons James Lenhart and his companion Michelle VanZandt of Center Valley, Francis "Frank" and Angie Lenhart of Bethlehem; grandchildren Max, Sophia, Aiden and Lydia. James was predeceased by his brothers Frank and Joseph, and his sisters Theresa, Elizabeth and Josephine.
Services: Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, September 22, in the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem, 18018, where friends may call from 10 AM until time of services. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com
