Ethel DiDonato Obituary

Ethel Mae "Sis" (McAuliffe) DiDonato, 87, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, March 21, 2018. She was the wife of the late John C. DiDonato, who died in 2010.

Born in Allentown, Ethel was the daughter of the late John McAuliffe and Catherine (Bartholmew) Chlebove. She worked in several positions for area businesses over the years, and most recently worked for American Greetings. She was a member of St. Stephen's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bethlehem, where she helped with Vacation Bible School, among many other things. She greatly enjoyed participating in the Adult Day program at Westminster Village, and also enjoyed reading, crocheting, adult coloring, and listening to religious music, particularly the Gaither Vocal Band.

Survivors: daughter Bonnie and son-in-law David; granddaughter Amanda and her husband Jonathan; grandson Jonathan and his wife Abby; great-grandchildren Dylan, Layne, Olyvia and Hazel; brother John. Ethel was predeceased by her brother Robert.

Services: Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, March 27, at St. Stephen's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 67 W. Washington Ave, Bethlehem, 18018. Evening Viewing hours will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on Monday evening in the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem, 18018. A memory tribute may be placed at www.longfuneralhome.com
