Ernest C. "Ernie" Bohar, Jr., 61 of Freemansburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday December 24, 2017 at his home. He was the loving husband and high school sweetheart of Denise (Black) Bohar with whom he shared 42 years of loving marriage. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of Ernest Bohar, Sr. and the late Mahala (Gurstenberg) and the late Jean (Humes) Bohar. Ernie was a 1975 graduate of Liberty High School. He worked as a Truck Driver for 38 years and he worked for Pitt Ohio for 20 years. Later, he became a self employed general contractor. He was a life member of the Heights A.A., the Lower Saucon Sportsman Association and St. John's Windish Lutheran Church, Bethlehem. Ernie was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycle, construction, old movies and cooking.
Survivors: he will be lovingly remembered by his wife Denise; father Ernest Bohar, Sr. of Freemansburg; sons Eric Bohar of Scranton and Christopher Bohar of Freemansburg; sisters Melinda Stoner of Lancaster, Jody Flitter and her husband Jack of Bethlehem Township and Penny Weiss and her husband Tim of Allentown. Ernie is also survived by his 4 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Billy Bohar in 1991.
