Cora Riccio Obituary

The last of the Romano sisters of Southside Bethlehem has passed from this life and has entered into eternal rest, now reunited with her loving parents and beloved sisters.
Cora Romano Riccio, 94, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at Cedarbrook, Fountain Hill, with her niece, Toni Tarantino, by her side. Cora was a resident there for the past eight years, where she received kind and loving care from the staff and nurses.
She was the daughter of Antonio and Incoronata (Cilenti) Romano and the wife of Michael Riccio.
Cora was a stylish, modern, working woman at a time when few women had careers outside the home. She started her career working in Human Resources at G.C. Murphy. She then went on to work for The Bethlehem Steel.
Cora was witty, smart, quick to join in on a game of Scrabble, and never turned down the invitation by one of her family members to travel somewhere. She enjoyed going to flea markets, shopping, bingo, trips to the casino, and family get-togethers.
Cora was a member of the former Our Lady of Pompeii of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Southside Bethlehem, of which her parents were founding members. She was devoted to her church and church life.
Cora is survived by many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, two sisters who died in infancy, and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Bambina (Babs) and Benjamin Muschlitz, Pauline and William Gralski, Mary Romano and Russel Pacala, and Ann and Robert Kaspern.
