Charlotte A. Kubat, 77, of Fountain Hill, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 13, 2018. In this life she was loved by many and now celebrates in heaven with loved ones there. Charlotte was the loving wife of Alexander P. Kubat for 58 years. Born in Allison Park, PA, she was the daughter of the late William Roy and Jane Obey (Roberts) Carroll. She was a graduate of Fountain Hill High School, Class of 1957. Charlotte was proud to have held positions with the benefits department of Bethlehem Steel, St. Luke's Hospital and to be the first woman to work as a clerk for the PA Liquor Control Board. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bethlehem, Tall Cedar Rangerettes and the Calypso Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Charlotte had a love for life and enjoyed a wide variety of interests including: cross stitch, playing the piano, listening to music, dancing, gardening, summers on Long Beach Island, and- above all else- spending time with friends and family.
SURVIVORS: In addition to her loving husband Alex, daughters Nora Diaz and husband Robert of Bethlehem, Kathleen Witkowski and husband Michael of Upper Marlboro, MD; sons William Kubat and wife Kathleen of Palmer Twp., Andrew Kubat of Nazareth; grandson, Stephen; sisters, Nancy Willhoit and Tina McIlhaney both of Bethlehem; She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. A memory tribute may be made at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com
