Charles R. Hittinger, Jr., 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 18, 2018, at ManorCare Health Services, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Dorothy (Fink) Hittinger, and also the late Leila (Cressman) Hittinger.
Born in Bethlehem, Charles was the son of the late Charles R. and Anna (Sedler) Hittinger, Sr. He served in the US Army, and then worked in a number of jobs, including Purolator Armored Car Service for 23 years and for Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedarcrest for 11 years. Charles was a member of Steel City Mennonite Church. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors: son Charles R. Hittinger, III, and his girlfriend Pamela Whitehouse and her children Haley, Seth and Dakota, all of Schofield, WI; sister Betty Kozul and her husband Peter of Bethlehem; his special companion,Pearl Hugo, of Bethlehem; and many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Grandchildren that helped with Dad's care.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, June 30, at the Steel City Mennonite Church, 2137 Mixsell Ave, Bethlehem 18015, where friends may call from 8:30 AM until time of services. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Allentown, with a reception back at church after the interment. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
