Anna Kernan Obituary
Anna C. (Moore) Kernan, 90, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of George M. Kernan with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. Born in Clear Spring, MD, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Nora (Forsyth) Moore. Anna worked as a bookkeeper at Lehigh Valley Tire, a business which she and George owned and operated for 11 years. She was a girl scout leader for many years at Governor Wolf. Anna was a long time member of Cathedral Church of the Nativity, Bethlehem where she was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Altar guild. One of Anna's greater pleasures in life was entertaining and throwing parties for friends and family in her home.
Survivors: she will be lovingly remembered by her husband George; daughter Maryanne Wood of Vermont; sister Betty Kratz of Clear Spring, MD; grandchildren Jessica Kernan of New Zealand and Jared Radtkey of Oakland, CA; great grandson Quinn Higginson of New Zealand. Anna was preceded in death by her daughter Barbara Kernan who passed away in 2008.
Services: A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday January 26, 2018 at the Cathedral Church of the Nativity, 321 Wyandotte Street, Bethlehem, PA 18015. Anna's arrangements have been entrusted to the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church or to the Center for Animal Health and Welfare, 1165 Island Park Road, Easton, PA 18042.
