Dr. Anastasia Fry was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on January 17, 1922. She was the daughter of Anthony Feyock and Victoria Wandzel. She was married for 49 years to Dr. Mervin James Fry, chiropractor of Bethlehem, who died in 1990. In her later years she enjoyed the companionship of Col. William Rumold, US Army Ret., now deceased. Her three brothers and two sisters also pre-deceased her.

She is survived by her two sons Dr. Barry Fry of Berryville, VA, and Dr. Mervin Fry (Nancy Adams) of Forestville, NY. She leaves five grandchildren, Bonnie Rothman (Michael) of Chicago, Christopher Fry (Kim Harley) of Berkeley, CA, Rebecca Fry (Carl Seashore) of Chapel Hill, NC, Benjamin Fry (Lyndsey Oster) of San Francisco, Jacob Fry ( Saeng Singsongkham) of Highlands, NJ, and a step-granddaughter Deb Bartle (Art Martinucci) of Erie, PA. She practiced chiropractic, homeopathy, radionics, reflexology, acupuncture, dousing, and naturopathy.

Dr. Fry was raised in the Polish National Catholic Church. She explored Lutheranism, Presbyterianism, Unitarianism, Spiritualism, and found a spiritual home as a follower of Meher Baba. She spent several months in India at the Baba Center there as well as at the Baba Center in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Dr. Fry was a gifted musician, artist, seamstress, dancer and cook. She was a beautiful and youthful woman. She loved travel, especially her visit to her parents' home and family in Zywiec, Poland. There she met three first cousins who exclaimed, "Everyone leaves. No one comes back." Although she had not spoken Polish since she was a child, she was able to converse fluently in Polish during her visit. When she wasn't travelling she enjoyed travelogues. Dr. Fry was a graceful dancer who enjoyed polkas and waltzes at the annual Lehigh Valley Viennese Ball. Girl Scouts had been important to her and sparked her interest in nature, wild flowers, wild mushrooms, and foraged greens.
