Rebekah A. (Adels) Chávez

Rebekah A. Chávez, 52, of Allentown, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday August 16, 2019 at St. Luke's Hospice House in Lower Saucon Township. She was the wife of Dario Chávez, with whom she shared 26 years of loving marriage.  Born in Fort Myers, Florida, she was the daughter of William and Martha (Harter) Adels of Dunedin, Florida.  Rebekah was a graduate of Dunedin High School in Florida. She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Easton.  Rebekah enjoyed gardening, and baking her special chocolate chip cookies.  Most of all she loved and adored her family and took great pride in homeschooling her children.  She also enjoyed spending time with her many friends.


SURVIVORS: In addition to her husband Dario and parents William and Martha, she will be lovingly remembered by her son Dario "Liam" Chávez, daughter Mary Chávez, both at home; brother Timothy Adels of Dunedin, Florida; sister Sheryl Hoffman and her husband Dan and their children Daniel and Grace all of Allentown. 


SERVICES: A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday August 27, 2019 at 7:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church, 5300 Green Pond Road Easton, PA 18045, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 PM until the time of the service.  Rebekah's arrangements are entrusted to the Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway Fountain Hill, PA 18015.  A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
