Thomas Stenhouse

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dearly loved, Thomas Stenhouse, of Bethlehem who passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.  Thomas was the beloved husband of the late Mildred Stenhouse with whom he shared 66 years of loving marriage.  Born in Scotland on September 21, 1929, Thomas was the son of the late Richard and Marion Stenhouse.  Thomas proudly served in the Royal Air Force during WWII.  After immigrating from Britain to the United States in 1955 he obtained a degree from Lehigh University and eventually became one of the vice presidents of Good Shepherd where he offered his compassion, love and deep faith to the residents.  He was an active member of Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bethlehem.

Survivors: Thomas is survived by his children; Moira Padfield (Randy) of Bethlehem Township and Corrie Young (Tracy) of Easton; and sister-in-law Miriam Ellis of Winter Springs, FL.  He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.  Thomas loved to spend time with his family members and always put them above himself.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00PM on Friday, May 3, 2024 at Holy Cross Evangelical Church, 2700 Jacksonville Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18017.   Relatives and friends may call from 3:30PM to 4:00PM Friday, May 3, 2024 at the church.  Entombment will be private at Bethlehem Memorial Park.  Thomas’s arrangements are entrusted to Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem.  A memorial tribute may be made at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the church.  In honoring Thomas’s memory we celebrate the love and faith he shared with all who knew him.  May his spirit remain in our hearts and continue to guide us with the warmth of his love.
