Joyce Ann Klo Obituary

Joyce Ann Klo, 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.  Joyce was born January 17th, 1942, in Fountain Hill, to Francis E. Cope and Anna Danyluk Cope. Joyce graduated from Fountain Hill High School in 1959 and attended St. Luke's School of Nursing, where she pursued her passion for caring for others on a full scholarship. She graduated in 1962 as the first in her family to achieve higher education. Joyce had a fulfilling career as a Nurse for St. Luke’s Hospital, a Private duty Nurse, Kirsten Anderson Weight loss center and then KidsPeace until retiring.

Joyce exchanged vows with the love of her life, Joseph Klo, Jr., on November 24, 1962, marking the start of their sixty-one years of marriage filled with love and devotion. Their love story began in high school, where Joe's heart was instantly captured by Joyce's radiant presence in the hallways. With a simple prom invitation, their love began, and by the end of the evening, Joe had already secured her as his date for the following year's prom before anyone else could. Together, they waltzed through life's most precious moments, their love a timeless melody.

Joyce found immense joy in her family, cherishing every moment spent with them entertaining them at their home for holidays and taking care of her grandchildren. Joyce possessed an exceptional talent for baking. Christmas without her cookies, Fourth of July without her blueberry crumb pie, and Thanksgiving without her pumpkin roll, pumpkin pie, apple pie, and pumpkin cheesecake won't be the same. Joyce's baked goods were more than just that; they were tangible expressions of her love, and to enjoy one was to feel her warmth and care. Joyce's absence will be profoundly felt by her entire family.

Joyce was a member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church and found comfort in her faith.

The family is grateful for the patient, kind, and compassionate care that Joyce received at St. Luke's University Hospital and Holy Family Manor Senior Living in Bethlehem.

In addition to her loving husband Joseph, she will be remembered by her two children, Joseph Klo, III and wife Jennifer of Bethlehem, and Lisa Ann Stribula and partner Jim Fenstermacher of Macungie; four grandchildren, Nicole Stribula, Julia Stribula, Jakob Klo, and Jessika Klo and her brother, Edwin Cope, and his wife Gail.
