Walter Smock Obituary
Walter J. Smock, Jr, of Bethlehem Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 10, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem. He was the loving husband of Aurelia (Transue) Smock, with whom he shared over 67 years of marriage.
Born in Bethlehem, Walter was the son of the late Walter and Ida (Hoffert) Smock, Sr. He served his country in the US Navy during WWII, and then worked for Bethlehem Steel Corp. as an electrical foreman, retiring in 1982. He then became a self-employed electrician for many more years. Walter was a member of Ebenezer Bible Fellowship Church.
Survivors: wife Aurelia; daughter Lynn Farris and her husband Francis of Nazareth; grandsons John Farris and his wife Jonelle of Bethlehem, Michael Farris of Nazareth; great-granddaughters Sophia and Giuliana. Walter was predeceased by his brother, Rev. Robert W. Smock.
