Philip Falcone, retired music teacher, passed away peacefully at age 84 on the evening of February 21, 2018 in his home in Bethlehem. His daughters and sister were by his side. Phil's beautiful tenor voice will be heard among the angels. After earning his Master of Vocal Performance from Illinois Wesleyan University and his Bachelor of Music Education from Southern Illinois University, he sang roles at the Berks Grand Opera and in numerous choirs, including The Bach Choir of Bethlehem. As an educator, he was beloved by hundreds of students who considered him their favorite teacher. While in Illinois, he was elected President of the Music Educator's Association. After returning to Bethlehem, PA, he taught in the Bethlehem Area School District. He was the son of Mr. Fred Falcone and Mrs. Anna Falcone (Martinkevich).
Phil honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the Fountain Hill American Legion and the Howard L. Peter Post American Legion.
In his later years, he enjoyed playing bingo, running a flea market stand, and listening to opera, musicals, and orchestral music from speakers he had hooked up in every room.

Falcone (Ritt Henn, fiance) of New York City and Ann Marie Falcone of Cleveland Heights, his sister Mary Catherine Thomas of Fleetwood, and numerous nieces and nephews.
