Matthew B. Howland, 40, passed away unexpectedly in Bethlehem on Wednesday, March 29, 2018. He was the husband of Sarah (Duyssen) Howland of Bethlehem Township.
Born in Summit, NJ, Matthew was the son of the late Richard and Merry (Bowers) Howland. A graduate of the Culinary Arts Institute in New York City, he worked as a chef for over 25 years in various area restaurants. More recently, he worked as a candy maker for M&M Mars in Hackettstown. Matthew enjoyed reading poetry, gardening, and cooking for his family. He attended Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church in Easton.
Survivors: wife Sarah; sons Steven Rogers, Jr., and Thaddeus Howland; siblings David Howland, Keir Livingston and wife Erin, Christopher Howland, Adam Howland, Ian Howland, and Mark Howland; many nieces and nephews.
Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 2, at 4:00 PM in the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem, 18018, where friends may call from 2:00 PM until time of services at 4:00 PM. A memory tribute may be placed at www.longfuneralhome.com
