Mary P. Baily, 94, of Bethlehem, was surrounded by the love of her family when she passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 1, 2018, at Westminster Village, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Harold Baily, who died in 2006.
Born in Bethlehem, Mary was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Elizabeth (Knappenberger) Klaugh. She worked briefly at Bethlehem Steel Corp. and the Laros Silk Mill, and then worked for many years in food service for the Bethlehem Area School District, retiring as a head cook. She enjoyed many things in her lifetime, including bowling, doing crafts, gardening with her tomato plants and rose bushes, cooking for her family, sewing, playing cards, camping and fishing at the Delaware shore, and traveling with her husband in retirement.
Survivors: daughters Cynthia Bilheimer and her husband Rodell of Pinellas Park, FL, Sandra Cope of Allentown; grandchildren Elizabeth Beattie and her husband Marcus, James Balzer and his wife Kathy, Edward Cope, and Andrea Cope; great-grandchildren Christopher and Kendra; many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her siblings Bob, Bill, Pete, Dempsey, Ralph, Charles, Kathryn and Dorothy.
Services: Graveside Services will be held at 12:30 PM on Friday, April 6, at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 1700 Airport Rd, Allentown, 18109. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem. A memory tribute may be placed at www.longfuneralhome.com
