Mabel Grube Obituary

Mabel L. Grube, 88, formerly of Bethlehem and Freemansburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Westminster Village, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Kenneth R. Grube, Sr., with whom she shared over 58 years of loving marriage until his death in 2009.

Born in Freemansburg, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Mabel (Haines) Green. Mabel was a sewing machine operator early in her marriage, and then was a homemaker and wonderful mother to her four children. She was a domestic home cleaning woman for many years to affluent families in the Bethlehem area, and always made sure she gave them the best of herself. Always energetic and ready to help all of us with not only her hands, but her heart, her smile, and her love for family and friends. She was a long-time member of Trinity UCC Church in Freemansburg, where she was also the cleaning woman there for many years. Mabel's family especially thanks the staff of Westminster Village for their love and care for their Mother, as well as to the staff of St. Luke's Hospice. Mabel touched the hearts of many, and will be missed by all.

Survivors: daughters Cynthia Viti and her husband Victor, Kandise Grube and her companion Greg Sfredda; son Kenneth R. Grube, Jr., and his wife Desiree; grandchildren Dominic Viti, Dana Viti Andruczyk, Nicole Grube Baker, Chelsea Grube, Lauren Serfass and Kelly Serfass Dalton; great-grandchildren Anthony, Colin, Eva, Christian, Averie and Evelyn.
