Lewis Lengyel

Lewis J. Lengyel, 82 of Bethlehem passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 5, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of Dolores (Flandorffer) Lengyel for 60 years. Born in Bethlehem he was the son of the late John and Lena (Bokan) Lengyel. Lewis was a graduate of Hellertown High School class of 1952 and later furthered his education at Pennsylvania State University. He honorably served his country in the United States Army as a 102nd ENG CO. Lewis worked for Ritter & Smith Lumber Co for 52 years in the sales and estimating department. He was a member of the Bethlehem Township planning commission for 5 years. Lewis enjoyed wood working in his spare time. He was a member of St. John's Windish Lutheran Church in Bethlehem.

Survivors: he will be lovingly remembered by his wife Dolores, sons, Jeffery (Joann), Joe (Tammy) and Lewis F. Lengyel and grandson Jesse Lengyel. He was preceded in death by his sister Olga Gergar and Infant Margaret.

Services: A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Saturday July 8, 2017 at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10AM until time of service. Burial will take place at Holy Saviour Cemetery. A memory tribute may be placed at www.longfuneralhome.com.
