LaDonna Reid Obituary
LaDonna E. Reid, 87, formerly of Brevard, NC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at Country Meadows of Bethlehem, PA. She was the wife of William J. "Bill" Reid, with whom she shared more than 57 years of loving marriage.
Born in Cannon Falls, MN, LaDonna was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mildred (Johnson) Haggstrom. LaDonna left rural Minnesota after high school and ultimately lived in every region of the country - skiing in Denver, marrying in Southern California, raising a family in New Jersey, and retiring to North Carolina. As a retiree, she became an avid hiker, and over the course of 20 years logged hundreds - if not thousands - of miles on mountainous trails with the Pisgah Hikers.
LaDonna was very proud of her family, and also of her Swedish heritage. She was a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hendersonville, NC.
Survivors: husband Bill; daughters Kellie McLaughlin and husband Donald of Ringoes, NJ, Jenifer Chirico and husband John of Hanover, VA; grandsons Andrew Chirico, Ryan and Adam McLaughlin. LaDonna was predeceased by her sister, Elrene Wutschke.
Services: Funeral Services will be private, and are entrusted to the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem. A memory tribute may be placed at www.longfuneralhome.com
