Josephine M. (DeStasio) Iampietro, 96, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday February 9, 2018, at Holy Family Manor. She was the wife of the late Nicholas A. Iampietro, who passed away on November 16, 2007. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Libera (DelGrosso) DeStasio. Josephine worked as a secretary for the Bethlehem Steel for many years, until retiring. She was a member of the former Our Lady of Pompeii Church, and its Mother of Sorrows Sodality and the parents association.
SURVIVORS: She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Sister Nancy Iampietro, CPS of Bethlehem; sons Nicholas A. Iampietro, Jr. and his wife Raine of Warrington, and Jim D. Iampietro and his wife Edith of Nazareth; grandchildren Jared, Jacob and his wife Carmen, Arlynn and her husband Matthew, Mary Catherine and her husband Marcus, and Adam; great-grandchildren Xavier, Lucas, Maverick and Maggie; sister Marie Gehringer of Bethlehem. She was predeceased by her siblings Mamie DeRenzis, John DeStasio, Vincent DeStasio and Patricia Adamek.
SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday February 13, 2018, at St. Anne Chapel at Holy Family Manor, 1200 Spring Street Bethlehem (using the Prospect Ave. entrance) where the family will receive relatives and friends from 12:00 Noon until the time of the Mass. Her burial will be at Holy Savior Cemetery. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
