John Ortwein Obituary
John F. Ortwein, 88, of Allentown, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown. He was the loving husband of Janet B. (Laslo) Ortwein, with who he shared 64 years of marriage.
Born in Bethlehem, John was the son of the late Francis and Edith (Santely) Ortwein.
John honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was the owner of Forte Neck Wear in Bethlehem for 19 years before retiring in 1994.
He was a member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church in Allentown.
John was an avid golfer and was a course champion when he lived in Florida.
In addition to his loving wife Janet, John is survived by his children; Frances V. Bach of Allentown, Brenda L. Nuttall of Bath and John F. Ortwein and his wife Donna of Allentown; brother Frank Ortwein and his wife Agnes of Flordia; sisters Catherine Seaman of Fountain Hill and Edith Gollie and her husband Robert of Eustice, Flordia.
He was preceded by his sister Joanne Frankenfield.
