John Beckage Obituary
John G. Beckage, 86, of Stockertown, was surrounded by the love of his family when he peacefully passed away on Monday, December 25, 2017, at Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth. He was the loving husband of June (DeWalt) Beckage, with whom he shared over 67 years of marriage.
Born in Bethlehem, John was the son of the late John and Helen (Novak) Beckage. He worked for a number of Lehigh Valley organizations over the years, including Bethlehem Fabricators and Northampton Country Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and also enjoyed playing golf. John was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pen Argyl, as well as the MORA Club. He enjoyed being outdoors, and being with his family.
Survivors: wife June; brother George Beckage of Hellertown; children Tom Beckage and his wife Janine of Bangor, Lynn Fairall and her husband John of Bangor, Karen Stelz of Bath, Sue Capobianco of Easton, Scott Beckage and his wife Rhonda of Pen Argyl; grandchildren Jeremy, Cory, Jonathan, Keith, Emily, Derek, Kassandra and Michael; great-grandchildren Alexa, Elias, Roman, Quinn and Charlotte.
Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, December 31, at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1422 Church Rd, Pen Argyl, PA 18072. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem. A memory tribute may be placed at www.longfuneralhome.com
