Encarnacion Santiago, 96, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of Santiago DeSantiago, with whom she shared 68 years of loving marriage. Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Antonio Diaz and Rufina Perez. Encarnacion was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church, Bethlehem. She loved sewing, knitting and reading.
Survivors: she will be lovingly remembered by her husband Santiago; daughter Jacqueline Rivera of Bethlehem; son Jeffery DeSantiago of Bethlehem; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Encarnacion was preceded in death by her son Ralph Santiago and her 8 siblings.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M. on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 E. 4th Street, Bethlehem, PA 18015. Calling hours will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and also on Friday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill, PA 18015. Burial will take place at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
