Edward Inghrim, 74, of Hellertown, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 29, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Ellen (Williams) Inghrim, with whom he shared over 32 years of loving marriage.
Born in South Fallsburgh, NY, Edward was the son of the late Harold and Mildred (Gibson) Inghrim. He received his Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and went to work for AT&T and Bell Labs in New Jersey. He worked as a developer and as a process engineer, and provided expert testimony in the landmark court case which broke up AT&T in 1984. Edward was a member of the Saucon Valley School Board for the past 12 years, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem, and also volunteered for Meals on Wheels for the past 15 years. He treasured the time he spent with his friends, co-workers and his family.
Survivors: wife Ellen; children Stephen Inghrim of Long Valley, NJ, Craig Inghrim of Catasauqua, Catherine Inghrim of Allentown, Jennifer Donnell and husband Andrew of Branchburg, NJ; siblings Nile Inghrim and his wife Patricia of Monticello, NY, Joseph Inghrim and his wife Mary of Woodbourne, NY, Lea Ann Conklin and her husband Max of Port Jervis, NY; grandchildren Wyatt, Lindsay and Liliana.
Services: Funeral Services will be held at 7 PM on Tuesday evening in the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem, 18018, where friends may call from 5 PM until time of services. Interment will be private. A memory tribute may be placed at www.longfuneralhome.com
