Doris Gancarcik

Doris R. Gancarcik, 80, of Bethlehem passed away peacefully on Friday June 15, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the loving wife of Michael J. Gancarcik, Jr. with whom she shared over 60 years of loving marriage. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Margaret (Weirbach) Mathias. Doris was a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1954. She worked briefly as a Legal secretary until her children were born and she became a housewife. Doris was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bethlehem. She loved cooking, baking, and spending time with her family.

Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Michael; daughters Mary Mirro and her husband Charles of Bath, Jean Gancarcik and Michelle Wallach and her husband Garrett of Bethlehem Township; son Michael Gancarcik, III of Bethlehem Township; brother Kenneth Mathias and his wife Joan of Hellertown and her loving grandchildren Kimberly Mirro, Amber Weaver and Aaron Weaver.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held at 5 P.M. on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 4 P.M. until time of service.
