Charles Allen Yost, 89, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Sunday February 25, 2018. Born in Ambler, PA, he was the son of the late Edward and Katherine (Kleinfelder) Yost. Allen attended Churchmans Business School in Easton and went into banking. Later he worked for Youngs Medical as a delivery man. He also worked as an assistant at Ashton Funeral Home in Easton and Long Funeral Home in Bethlehem. He was active in the Boy Scouts and served as a scout leader. Allen was a faithful member of First United Church of Christ in Hellertown. His love for singing is what he will be remembered for. He had been in a barbershop quartet, The Chordblenders. He also directed barbershop choruses, was a choir director, and a sang with Parke Frankenfield's Big Band.
SURVIVORS: He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Lily Yost of Springtown; sons David Yost and his wife Deena with who he resided, Charles "Chip" Yost and his wife Sharon of Bloomsburg; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held at 12:00 NOON on Saturday March 10, 2018 at First U.C.C. 501 Northampton St. Hellertown, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00 AM until time of service. Allen's arrangements are entrusted to Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
