Anthony Rapp Obituary

Anthony G. Rapp, Jr., 72, of Macungie, and formerly of Fountain Hill, died Thursday November 23, 2017 at St. Luke's University Hospital. He was the husband of the late Janice M. (Lipsky) Rapp for 31 years, who died September 20, 1997 and Patricia (Heidecker) Rapp for 14 years. Born in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late Anthony and Elizabeth (Mahl) Rapp. Tony honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Ursula Catholic Church. He also coached and was a board member for Fountain Hill Little League. Tony was a long time district judge for Fountain Hill and Salisbury Twp. He also worked plant patrol for the Bethlehem Steel and as a police officer for the borough of Fountain Hill. Tony was an avid golfer and a life long Philadelphia sports fan.

Surviving: In addition to his loving wife Pat; sons Anthony W. Rapp and wife Kelly of Hilltown, Christopher D. Rapp and wife Leann of Salisbury Twp., Matthew A. Rapp and wife Tanya of Schnecksville; daughter Elizabeth H. "Beth" Rapp-Steltz and husband Ed of Fountain Hill; step-sons Michael T. Rau of Fountain Hill, Kevin R. Rau and wife Erica; step-daughter Susan P. Specht all of Fountain Hill; sisters Arlene Renninger of Fountain Hill, JoAnne Paulik of Salisbury Twp.; brother Lawrence E. Rapp and wife Helen of Fountain Hill; grandchildren Andrew, Abby, Janice, Julian, Megan, Lindsey, and Jacob; step-grandchildren Alex, Lauren and Mia Specht, Eric and Brooke Rau.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM on Tuesday November 28, 2017 at St. Ursula Catholic Church, 1300 Broadway, Fountain Hill. Calling hours will be held on Monday evening from 6:00 a 8:00 PM at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street Bethlehem and also on Tuesday morning from 8:30 AM until time of the Mass at church. His burial with military honors will take place at Holy Ghost Cemetery. A memory tribute may be made at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
