Janet M. Ortiz, 76, of Bethlehem, died Saturday, June 11, 2011, in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of the late Pablo A. Ortiz who died March 17, 1995. Born in Fountain Hill , she was the daughter of the late Llewellyn and Mary (Kurtz) Maurer. Janet worked as a Nurses Aid in the area for many years. She also worked at Hess's and John Wanamaker's Department Stores. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fountain Hill. Besides spending time with her family, Janet enjoyed crocheting. Survivors: she will be lovingly remembered by her sons Luis A. and his wife Lisa, Thomas E. and his wife Sharon all of Bethlehem, Andrew W. of Cape May Court House, NJ., Roger P. and his wife Nicole of Furlong; daughters Felicia M. Ortiz, Rose M. Zigmund and her husband Todd all of Bethlehem; brother Glen Maurer and his wife Korena of Fountain Hill; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughter Paula and grandson Luis, Jr. Services: 11am Thursday June 16, 2011 at Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill, where the family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7-8:30pm and on Thursday from 10-11am.
